Haandi

Haandi is symbolic of roadside truck stops in India/Pakistan; though in NYC its a cab stop.  If you can bear the hole in the wall feeling you could be in for a treat!

Not everything is great (stick to the grilled stuff).  The chef is surely liberal with the oil in his/her cooking, though there are a few gems.

- Chicken Kebabs $1.5 per piece

- Lamb Kebabs $2.0 per piece; spicier than the chicken

- Biryani

- Fresh Samosas

- Fresh Naan (good even after being re-heated in a toaster oven)

- Masala or Kashmiri Chai

- Tandoori chicken / chicken tikkas

Oh and they do a good job with the kebabs / chicken tikkas if you order them for an event.  Always a party favorite!

Have you been there?, did I miss anything?
